Corsair has these three variants, with HD being oldest, and ML being newest (referring to RGB variants). But specs show that the HD fans are better than both the LL and ML, and LL is the worst, however is the difference really that huge or is it negligible? (only plan on having them as top and rear exhaust, NOT on AIO Rads or Intake).
So basically Corsair just announced and released 120 and 140mm fans with Magnetic Levitation Bearing and a custom rotor design, the ML Series is designed to deliver higher airflow, lower noise and ...
Available in both 120mm and 140mm versions, CORSAIR LL Series RGB Fans are the most feature rich RGB LED fans on the market today. With CORSAIR LL Series RGB Fans your next build can look as good as it runs.

Nov 20, 2018 · So, from Corsair's website: 140mm LL fans: up to 1300 RPM, 25dBA 51.5 CFM 140mm ML fans: up to 1200 RPM, 20.4 dBA, 55.4 CFM tl:dr their LL fans spin faster make more noise while cooling less than their ML fans.
Nearly two years ago, CORSAIR released their LL RGB series of fans with 16 addressable RGB LEDs per fan. Our own readers were quick to point out that these were going to usher in an era of RGB more than before, and the time since has indeed shown that these fans have been extremely popular—even more so than the CORSAIR ML RGB fans I personally am a bigger fan of.
You can get both with pretty nice lighting and the ML are quieter. With that said I got LL fans in my case because at the time I got a better deal on them and noise isnt really a bother to me
Mar 03, 2020 · At high RPM, high performance is achieved, but this also affects the high noise of that fan. In this case and at 12V, Noctua receives 22.6 dBAs from the 37 dBA of Corsair. Although in this category Noctua wins its low RPM, depending on the pressure and flow, Corsair gains a lot, because we are talking about 2.34 mmH2O vs 4.2 mmH2O and 60 CFM ...
Nov 16, 2017 · The defining aspect of Corsair’s ML series of fans is its use of a magnetic bearing. We spoke with Corsair about this technology at Computex 2016. In short, the magnetic bearing levitates the ...
The magnetic levitation seems to be a better way to go vs the usual hydraulic spinners out there and a quick read of the stats put the ML in between the LL/QL at the low end and the HD at the high end of the CFM range so good compromise with the benefit of the mag-lev longevity / durability (supposedly).
Corsair has done a great job with these Magnetic Levitation fans, allowing us silence freaks to almost eliminate fan motor noise once and for all. Corsair's ML120 and ML140 series fans deserve nothing less than an innovation award, improving upon their already competitive designs with an improved aesthetic, better illumination and most ...

Corsair decided that having 12 RGB LEDs on a fan was not enough, and with the LL RGB fans, we get 16 addressable ones split into two light loops. Featuring software control via the Lighting Node PRO, these are all about maxing out on the bling factor.
Mar 16, 2012 · LL for looks, QL's are meh, ML's are great. I believe that's the general consensus with Corsair fans. I don't have a particularly warm room so I went with 6 LL120 fans in my build, still pretty quiet and they look AMAZING. ML fans look good but perform much better than LL or QL fans.
Nov 16, 2017 · Corsair will sell the ML RGB fans in two different sizes and a variety of packages. A single ML120 Pro RGB fan will carry a $35 suggested price, and a single ML140 Pro RGB (the 140-mm version ...

Jul 28, 2016 · Corsair ML140 PRO LED Review (ML Series) Conclusion. Thanks to the Corsair-exclusive Magnetic Levitation Bearings, new rotor and cage design, and swappable anti-vibration rubber dampers, the ML140 PRO LED fans (and the ML Series in general) offer great air flow with less noise.
The ML bearings work like magic - these things just don't make any noise, except for the noise of air being moved. I've got 2x 140mm on a front intake CPU RAD, then 3 exhaust (2 at the top for convection and 1 on the back) and finally another 2 on a Morpheus II GPU cooler.
ML Series by Corsair ditches the current mechanical paradigms of standard cooling fans and takes a page from futuristic R&D, using magnetic levitation to create a nearly frictionless rotation. The result? Un-paralleled static pressure to noise ratio, and airflow on tap to keep up with virtually any task. Now that’s re-invented.
