Aug 30, 2011 · Hi friends, I'm planning to get the NZXT H500 which will be housing my Ryzen 5 2600x and Sapphire RX580 Nitro+ card. I will be using the AMD Wraith Prism CPU cooler which a friend gave to me, so I was wondering what the best fan configuration would be for a H500 that's using a fan CPU cooler instead of AIO/water-cooling.

The H200i includes one LED strip, whereas the H400i, H500i, and H700i include two LED Strips. The Smart Device is capable of handling LED lighting settings and fan control through our CAM software. The included Smart Device can control LED lighting for any of our first-generation LED products in the same line as our HUE+.

I suggest using h700i instead, it cost a bit more but it has a hub built in which can handle up to 9 fans. Yes, you can control the fan speed using mobo as long as you use the hub and pwm fans. NzXT fans are fine, they are not impressive but they are not bad either. If you are gonna buy additional fans, buy the same fan.

The NZXT H700i is a brilliantly designed, well-executed case which is brought down by its attempt at expanding the case’s purpose horizontally. The case tries to be more than it is, or ever can be.
